Stayed here for two weeks and had an amazing time. I had so much fun with Mauna and all the other volunteers. I learned so much about woofing, farming, and most importantly, community. It was my first time woofing and ...WOW I would 100% recommend Shangrila, Mauna is such a wonderful and fun host, he makes you feel so included and comfortable and really gives you a lot of freedom in what type of activities you'd like to do. Two wonderful weeks in Shangrilà with Mauna and several other guests from different countries. The food was astonishing, company was really nice and Mauna created very welcoming and open atmosphere. This guy brings a lot of experience when it comes on how to handle with people in an ecovillage. Respect. I took care of the garden, was cooking and participated in planning the new clay wall and testing out the best clay mixture. Each day was different, full of common activities and full of emotions. Most valuable things I learned in Shangrilà considered social aspects of living in ecovillage and new way to relate to the concept of work - doing things out of joy and inner motivation. I left with tears in my eyes and I know, Mauna is the right person to go on with the Shangrilà vision. Good luck my brother. Looking forward to see you soon again.

We spent two great weeks in Shangrilà with Mauna and four other guests. Food was amazing, company was really nice and Mauna created very welcoming and open atmosphere. We planted plenty of plants, took care of the garden, built fence and participated in different tasks of upkeeping the property. Most valuable things I learned in Shangrilà considered social aspects of living in ecovillage and new way to relate to the concept of work - doing things out of joy and inner motivation instead of duty. Based on my experience I would recommend Shangrilà especially to anyone who is interested in this kind of topics.

Shangrilá é un bellissimo progetto in corso d'opera! Le attività sono diverse e dipendono un po' dal periodo e dalle necessità del momento! Il cibo é sempre molto buono e l'olio d'oliva è incredibile!! Raccomando questo ecovillaggio a chi vuole fare un'esperienza a contatto con sé stessi e con uno stile di vita con ritmi più lenti! We had a great stay at Shangri-la. Mauna and Patricia were very welcoming and friendly. The site is beautiful with views of the sea and a great veg patch. We enjoyed the morning meetings and blessings before we started work and we had some great games of covo on the evenings. Mauna has an inspiring vision for this land and for the world.

I strongly recommend that pease of paradice to everyone looking for yourself, for open mind community, for peacefulness, for being part of the Nature. Mauna creates remarkable ecovillage. I'm so happy that I was a little part of the creation of this place for 2 weeks. I toke place in the preparation of the summer garden for vegetables with the other volunteers, in the cleaning and reordering of the places (terrasse and doja) for activities, in the harvesting of wild plants and their cooking. Each day was different, full of common activities and full of emotions. So fun... In addition, there was time for myself and my regular work on the laptop. Mauna is super kind and friendly person who conforms to everyone and he is very well organized with daily "games" :). He is a Human who you can absorbe a lot of knoweldges and positivity if you open your mind to that.

A Shangrilà ho avuto la fortuna di vivere un'esperienza davvero arricchente! Non era la mia prima volta in un contesto rurale e comunitario. Parlo quindi a ragion veduta. Quello che ha realizzato Mauna in poco più di un anno è incredibile. La scelta del posto la trovo perfetta. L' esperienza da lui accumulata è evidente e per chi sa ascoltare c'è molto da imparare sull'organizzazione sociale di una comunità. A livello pratico ho avuto modo di contribuire a qualche piccolo passo avanti ripulendo insieme ad altri volontari una zona terrazzata che abbiamo poi inaugurato con un falò e musica. Ho aiutato alla creazione di due nuovi bancali per l'orto estivo e aiutato a mantenere buoni rapporti di rete con contatti di Mauna dove Shangrilà ha offerto il proprio aiuto. Ottima esperienza a 360°. Consigliato!

Sono stato a Shangri-la circa un mese fa e mi sono trovato benissimo! Io e Mauna siamo diventati grandi amici e mi ha insegnato molte cose. Abbiamo cucinato molte pietanze appetitose :p, mi ha insegnato a riconoscere diverse piante spontanee commestibili, abbiamo creato insieme diversi orticelli di permacultura, abbiamo raccolto le olive un paio di volte e ho imparato un po' di falegnameria, in sostanza non c'è tempo per annoiarsi! Un altra bellissima esperienza è stata conoscere tutte le persone amiche di Mauna che ruotano intorno a Shangri-la , con le quali abbiamo svolto diverse attività olistiche <3 Per finire, posso dire con certezza che tornerò a fargli visita più volte!
